Attention Retailers Around the World!

Today, Google announced changes being made to Google Shopping Product Data Specifications. More specifically, the changes introduce maximum values for both the ‘shipping’ (price) and ‘shipping_weight’ attributes.

The maximums will be introduced beginning June 26th 2017.

In an email from The Google Shopping Team:

“As previously announced, we’re introducing maximum values for the ‘shipping’ and ‘shipping_weight’ attributes beginning June 26th, 2017.

For metric: 1–1000 kgs

For the following currencies, these are the range of supported values for ‘shipping’ price:

For AUD, CAD, CHF, EUR, GBP, NZD, SGD, USD: 1-1000 For AED, BRL, CNY, DKK, HKD, MYR, NOK, PLN, SEK, TRY:1-5000 For ARS, CZK, MXN, ZAR, TWD: 1-20000 For INR, JPY, PHP, RUB: 1-100000 For CLP: 1-500000 For COP: 1-2000000 For IDR: 1-10000000

Starting June 26th, 2017 any products with ‘shipping_weight’ and ‘shipping’ attribute values above the maximum values will be disapproved. We recommend checking your shipping settings and making relevant changes.”

We also highly recommend that retailers take a look to ensure that the above mentioned attributes align to the update coming at the end of this month.

We have not seen any official announcement via other Google resources such as and instead have only received notifications via email for select retailers whose accounts may be in jeopardy of disapproval.

Our team is closely monitoring accounts and will provide further updates and another notice as the date for full rollout get’s closer.
